About BOMS
BOMS has been in existence since 1997. This year it will feature:
- The Bank District Organ Festival
- Playing sessions at prominent London organs
- Recitals by participants [Email BOMS if you are interested in performing]
- Lectures and classes [Email BOMS if you are interested in presenting a paper or conducting a class]
- Playing the Organs of London and Environs, including St. Paul's Cathedral, Wesminster Abbey, Canterbury Cathedral, and King's College, Cambridge
- Division of participants into small groups, with group leaders.
Group leaders will accompany every registrant to and from hotels, to meals, and at all events, to ensure that at all times no one is left out. We take seriously the responsibility to ensure that every person feels included at all times and has equal playing time.
About the Festival
The Festival will be held in the Bank District Wednesday, June 24 - Friday, June 26,
at the following churches in the Bank District: St. Lawrence Jewry, St. Margaret's Lothbury, St-Mary-On-Hill, and
St. Stephen Walbrook

The festival will feature
- classes on British and American music
- particpants' recitals of British and American music
- visits and playing sessions to London organs
- recitals by Catherine Ennis, Richard Townend, and others
- a Festival Competition at St. Lawrence Jewry, St. Margaret Lothbury, and St. Stephen Walbrook
- participants' papers and lectures
Participants Recitals, Classes, and Papers
Participants will be featured as recitalists and lecturers
Music - All music played and discussed will be either American or British
Age Limit - None
Recital/Lecture Length: 30 minutes maximum. A 30 minute slot may be shared by two people.
Recitalists - Recorded submissions of one representative work of at least one British
and one American piece should be submitted.: The same works may be featured in the recital.
Former participants may not have to submit a recording to be eligible.
Recording Length should be a total of approximately 15 minutes.
Lecture or Class: The lecture or class must be submitted in the form of an outline, with bibliography.
Submission Deadline: February 15, 2009.
